2017 is a year of great potential for Redondo Beach. The Redondo Beach Chamber of Commerce is excited about our many plans to serve our local businesses and enliven our community in 2017. In addition to organizing key events for the City, the Chamber will work to advance public policy in ways that will benefit our members and the larger business community. In the election taking place next month, the residents of Redondo Beach will vote for mayor and three City Council district seats, and also decide via a ballot measure whether or not to restrict revitalization efforts for the Redondo Beach Waterfront, Galleria, and other major redevelopment corridors of opportunity. Representing you, the City’s residents and business owners, the Chamber’s Government Relations Council (GRC) will continue to monitor changes in state and federal policy that could affect our local business climate in Redondo Beach. We will support every and all efforts to advance the progress of critical revitalization projects for the City that are projected for implementation in 2017. The Chamber is again hosting the popular annual events in a busy February as we begin the new year. The Super Bowl 10k, sponsored by Kaiser Permanente, will take place on February 5. On February 24, the Redondo Beach State of the City address will be presented by Mayor Steve Aspel. The State of the City presents a look back at the previous year and an insightful roadmap for what to expect in the year ahead. We are excited to hear what the Mayor will have to say about the City Council’s agenda for 2017. Don’t miss out on the action in a busy and important year. Stay tuned to the Chamber’s activities—this year there will be much “More to Sea” in Redondo Beach.
