A Redondo Favorite, Kincaid’s Restaurant Celebrates its 18th Birthday By Reggie Thomas, General Manager Thank you Redondo Beach! Kincaid’s Restaurant marked its 18-year anniversary on January 25, and we deeply appreciate the loyalty of our many friends and customers, new and old, who come to enjoy seafood and steaks on the pier with ocean views, a warm and inviting dining room, patio seating and a buzzing happy hour. Kincaid’s weekend celebration dinners in March are close to being sold out, but you won’t miss the party. Come to Kincaid’s celebratory weeklong tasting. We will highlight some of our most popular dishes that had their turn on the stage in the past, as well as Kincaid’s current dishes that add new ways of preparing our favorite recipes with new twists that make them even more delicious. Kincaid’s in Redondo Beach is part of the Seattle-based Restaurants Unlimited. Even though I’m from Ferriday, LA, I consider myself a local boy as Redondo Beach reminds me a lot of home and what I’m used to; good people and great food. I am working on year 6 as GM of Kincaid’s and couldn’t be prouder of my team and some of the exciting menus & celebrations we’ve been able to be a part of. “Every Kincaid's brings local to life”—well, my family may be partial, but for us this Redondo Beach Kincaid’s is the greatest one of all. We’re one of the few Southern California restaurants perched just above the Pacific Ocean, and waves crash right below our patio in a relaxing serenade, making Kincaid’s patio the most idyllic venue for your birthday celebrations, romantic occasions, and special social events. Many of our terrific employees were here at Kincaid’s opening in 1999; Sous Chef Rosa Martinez, members of our service team Lead Trainer & Supervisor Lisa Brubaker, Supervisor Janna Denhart and Dinner Server Kristy Genest. Two of our other Lead Trainers, Ulysses de la Rosa and Edgar de la Torre, have been awarded Kincaid’s highest honor, the Black Service Vision Pin for their work as leaders of our service team as well as their support of community service projects. Our culinary team is led by Executive Chef Ramon Fernandez who has been with RUI for over 30 years and has had a hand in creating many of the recipes featured in our locations across the country. Chef Ramon was also featured in the internationally syndicated cooking show “Reto El Chef” where he was the first chef to ever defeat the host, Chef Simon Buehler. We are all blessed to be a vibrant part of this community and thank you for continuing to support us and hold us to a high standard. Our mission is to continue to offer an array of both healthy & creative choices using the freshest possible ingredients available. We look forward to the next 18 years and want to continue to live our Service Vision which is “Make Every Guest Feel Like Our Only 1”.
