From September 22-24, 2017, over 9,000 lobster lovers from around the world will gather in Redondo Beach to engage in phenomenal entertainment, a Lobster Bistro tasting, and fun for the whole family. Serious lovers of lobster should mark their calendars for the 22nd Annual Redondo Beach Lobster Festival, sponsored by the Redondo Beach Chamber of Commerce, taking place from Friday to Sunday, September 22-24, 2017 at the Seaside Lagoon. This high-energy festival is a perennial favorite of Southern Californians, because it offers “More to Sea,” with more of everything – electrifying entertainment, fresh Maine lobster dinners, food booths, craft beer, and activities for everyone. Attendees can gear up for stand up paddle board lessons, a kiddie area with 45 foot long, 12 foot high dual slide staffed by professionals, face painting, and colorful balloon art. Not to be outdone, the Festival under the guiding hand of Signature Chef Jessica Jordan, from FISHBAR Manhattan Beach, will feature a Lobster Bistro showcasing a gastronomical adventure with lobster, of course, as the headliner. The ever-popular Surf ‘N Turf steak and lobster dinners with Certified Angus Beef ® Center-Cut New York Strip Steak and Maine Lobster are also on the menu. It’s a mouth-watering inducement to head for Redondo Beach. The food line-up includes a bounty of delectable booth offerings, such as sizzling sausages, Lobster Rolls, Lobster quesadillas, Lobster tacos, Lobster Guacamole & chips and Mac n’ Cheese. Then, there’s the spectacular roster of bands: Friday, September 22 Wayward Sons: Wayward Sons is a nostalgia-fueled, power-chord packed rock show featuring the greatest songs of the 80’s including hits from Journey, Queen, Bon Jovi, Styx, Guns N Roses, Foreigner, and Van Halen. Barley: Compared to acts such as Tom Petty, Wilco, and the E Street Band, Barley Legal manages to come off sounding completely new and fresh, while reaching back a few years for its influence. Ayline Amirayan : Saturday, September 23 Headliner - English Beat: The English Beat is a band with an energetic mix of musical styles and a sound like no other. The band’s unique sound has allowed it to endure for nearly three decades and appeal to fans, young and old, all over the world. The Untouchables: The Untouchables (sometimes known as The UTs) are a soul/mod revival band from the Silver Lake, Los Angeles, California area. They formed in 1981 as part of the embryonic L.A. mod revival, after being inspired by the ska revival/punk rock band The Boxboys. Soul Shaker: Feed the Kitty: Feed The Kitty may just be the hardest working band in Southern California, if not the world. Performing over 300 shows a year, these guys can do it all, anything goes with FTK. Having an arsenal of thousands of songs, versatility is the name of the game for this band as they can provide a wide variety of quality live music to fit almost any occasion.
