The Economic Development Council helps build tomorrow’s future by giving high school students one-stop access to future career and entrepreneurship. The Redondo Beach Chamber in partnership with the City of Redondo Beach will facilitate the Student Business Leader for a Day Program on March 27, 2019. More than 100 Redondo High school students participated last year and 6 $500 scholarships were given to the winners. The Purpose of the program was to enlighten students with the idea that entrepreneurship is an attainable goal. Starting a business may be hard but there are resources available to assist and the Chamber is here to help point interested parties in the right direction. The program was created to help students weigh the pros and cons of developing, owning and operating a business in Redondo Beach. Students who participate in the program and write a 500 word business plan will qualify to win a $500 scholarship. Scholarships will be awarded from the Redondo Beach Chamber.
