“Safe in the South Bay” Program Safe is the South Bay Program is a pledge that businesses can take to show they are following the proper protocol for their business in compliance with the LA County Health Order to continue with the roadmap to recovery and slow the spread of COVID-19 for their employees and customers. Safe in the South Bay is aimed at supporting and ensuring that businesses are aware of the proper protocols to reopen safely and or remain open and continue contributing to the road to economic recovery. In accordance with the County of Los Angeles Health Officer Order, I PLEDGE that my business is in compliance with the appropriate Los Angeles County Reopening Protocol and that that my business will adhere to the following general practices to mitigate the spread of COVID-19: Enforce use of face coverings for employees and customers Practice physical distancing of at least 6-feet Enact temperature/symptom checks for employees and customers Conduct regular cleanings and frequent disinfection Provide hand sanitizer for employees and customers Limit amount of contact required at point of purchase Post a copy of the Los Angeles County reopening protocol at the business entrance and distribute copies to employees To participate and receive a Safe in the South Bay seal, take the pledge here. The “Safe in the South Bay” program “Safe in the South Bay Program is a collaborative effort and partnership with Beach Cities Health District (BCHD) and the Chambers of Commerce from El Segundo, Hermosa Beach, Manhattan Beach, Palos Verdes and Redondo Beach that has been created for restaurants and businesses to provide health guidance and a self-certification process related to Los Angeles County’s Safer at Work and in the Community Health Officer Order. The Safe in the South Bay program is open to all businesses in the five participating cities. To participate, businesses will need to self-certify that they are following the Los Angeles County reopening protocols, which include: Enforce use of face coverings for employees and customers Practice physical distancing of at least six feet Enact temperature/symptom checks for employees and customers Conduct regular cleanings and frequent disinfection Provide hand sanitizer for employees and customers Limit amount of contact required at point of purchase Post a copy of the Los Angeles County reopening protocol at the business’ entrance and distribute copies to employees Those that take the pledge can prominently display the Safe in the South Bay seal in their business to show that they are doing their part to advance business recovery and keep the community safe.
